Deere oh deere

So it's hard to keep finding snappy titles when there is such little inspiration in terms of field quality. Fortunately there is value kicking about or I'd be just about done with the PGA tour this year. The split in world golf has well and truly shat on the fans and as a lover of the PGA tour and top class golf I'm sick of this shit. Money maketh man my arse.

Anyway enough of that after a 2nd consecutive 2nd last week and again 1 shot away from glory, we head into the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run. TPC Deere run Illinois, sits 200 miles West of Chicago and this 7,258 yard par 71 has bentgrass greens and fairways, it's a 2nd shot course and after a Straka stripe show last year, strong, aggressive approach play will get it done here. It's a track Theegala would be 8/1 for if he lined up, but in a D list field we go with form this week and 4 players, 2 of which were bang up there last week after being selected.

First up no prizes for guessing DAVIS THOMPSON. He's top of the trending charts I do, behind Sungjae (fav this week) and our 2nd selection. I fancy him to go close again and at 22/1 8 places with bet365 we go 6pts e/w.

Next up I love SEAMUS POWER right now. His game is really on the up, his ball striking stats, proximity stats and putting stats are back to where they should be and in a field of this quality he is way overpriced at 40/1 and we go 4pts e/w 8 places with Bet365 again.

Another repeat selection and after last weeks predictably solid performance NEAL SHIPLEY can only improve on his 2nd pro start. His odds have dropped and given his iron play is probably top 5 in this field, his odds are lip smacking good. Ladbroke and Coral are both offering 10 places this week and at 66/1 the algorithm goes there (8 places is 70/1). 3pts e/w on the tubster.

Last up I saw enough from TROY MERRITT last week to love his place chances this week. He's had a foul season, driving and putting like a camel, but last week's top 20 was a real step in the right direction and the two time winner has a class edge on a lot of these. He's 125/1 with Bet

365, 8 places so we go 2pts e/w.

Here's to another entertaining week pocket wise, god knows we need it, who'd tune into this shit with no financial interest?
