With East Lake a week away, we head to the BMW this week, to whittle 50 down to 30 as the tours top performers go at it in Colorado at the picturesque Castle Pines golf club.

Whilst we didn't have any chance of a win last week, Wyndham Clark brought home some tidy profit. Investment aside a masters type back 9 on a Sunday ensued, as first Schauffelle then the once again brilliant Hovland, nearly capitalised on a mad hour from eventual winner Matsuyama. The Japanese star somehow picked himself up of the floor after losing a 5 shot lead, in possibly the most exciting finish of the season, with a birdie, birdie finish as despair beckoned.....what class.

Whilst the yardage of Castle Pines measures 8130 yards from the tips, the 6200 feet above sea level means it plays around 6-700 yards shorter. The Augusta in the mountains, has been 20 years since it's last visit here, but it is ready, and muddling yardages and steep elevations require accuracy and intelligence in equal measure.

It's been a trend this year for me to rinse and repeat, and as we aren't at Cherry Hills this week Cantlay goes on the slag heap, as we pick WYNDHAM CLARK again. Quite simply he is showing form with the putter, and when that hots up he is top tier. The Denver native knows what it takes to play at altitude, he grew up in it, and his first ever start in his home state could not be timed better after last week's placing and strong finish. We go big on 2 players this week only and because of that 10pts ew at 25/1 is the play with Hills 6 places.

The 2nd and final pick in this 50 man field is no stranger to any fan of golf, but he makes a rare appearance for us, but BILLY HORSCHEL has a fed ex win, and a litany of high finishes on this competition. The 2014 fedex champion finished 10th last week, but the last 2 months have been a real revival for the likeable American, with his West Ham tour bag and crazy trousers. His last 3 events read, 2nd, 7th and 10th and his form is as such that at 35/1, 6 places, I like his experience, form and timing for this and we go 5pts e/w with Hills or Betfair take your pick.

A 30 man field at East Lake next week, Cantlay rolls over for us......I hope he doesn't win, as it's coming, but at a new track I'll save him.
