Shot shot shot shot

So as the PGA tour reverts back to singles stroke play this week, we look for another week of each way thievery after what was an amazing week at the RBC with all 3 selections placing for good profit.

A week where I didn't do a blog last week I did have a small ew bet on Kohles and Kazzire and at 3 figure odds with a 1st round lead things looked good. wasn't to be, but we are getting people in position, that win is coming.

So as we head to The CJ Cup, formerly the Byron Nelson, in South Carolina this week, the previous winners of Day, Mcilroy, Kokrak and Wise tell you everything you need to know about what is needed at TPC Craig Ranch....DRIVING!

Lot's of long holes, big drives on the 4s and 5s and long irons into Par 3s, short hitters don't do well here. Gary Woodland does go well here, as do the likes of Sam Burns and Keith Mitchell, this speaks volumes. So we head 3 pronged this week with long hitters, hoping at least one of them find their putting boots, and 1 shorter hitter who is back to his best.

First up we go balls deep on blog favourite and putting pleb, CAM CHAMP. Cam is the exact profile for this place, and despite two mid-field places his prowess with the big stick is too much to ignore at 125/1 8 places with bet365. We invest 2pts e/w this week.

One man who doesn't hit a big ball comes into the reckoning after some strong recent trends, and previous blog resident MARK HUBBARD is showing some slick iron play, good putting and elite short game skills. In a field of this quality, Mark has shown signs of becoming a tour performer, and since his strong showing at Muirfield village last season, he has appeared in the top echelons on a few leader boards. I'm a big fan, and he is great value this week at 66/1 with Paddy Power 8 places, and we punt 4pts e/w on him.

Our next pick is a newbie to the blog, but as a previous winner, big hitter and 11th here last year STEPHAN JAEGER is priced very wrong and a real chance of lifting another PGA tour crown. Hitting it on average 308.2 yards he sits 22nd in distance on tour. He placed at the Farmers on a really difficult track there, he won in Houston and despite not being tailored to Harbour Town finished inside the top 20 at the RBC Heritage. 3 top tens and a win this year, he is riding the crest of a wave, and the German shot a final round 63 here last season for that high placed finish. Most of top level sport is played between the ears and his confidence in himself is reflected in mine in him, and at 33/1 with Paddy Power 8 places he is my main pick this week and we go 7pts e/w on him.

So finally we use up our last 2 points on Rookie of the year contender and keg swilling tour winner JAKE KNAPP. This guy over swings like Daly and is a pure rhythm player, so he could be a bit shit or bust, but he hits it long, he is a strong iron player, putts well and has no discernible weaknesses. He is young and raw but he is very very exciting, and if his form holds up he could go well here. This is also the last qualifier for the next signature event - the Wells Fargo, and JK has no fears about qualifying or money, which again could be a good thing. A 100/1 shot 8 places with Hills, we are 2pts e/w hoping for more of the same from him.

Go well
