The Champ

3M are a huge supplier of PPE and safety equipment. That's as exciting as this week will get. A second rate field plays a second rate course this week, in stark contrast to last week and Big Bad Brian putts for dough, this week it is Drives for show, dough and everything else, as we head to the bombers track at TPC Twin Cities near Minneapolis, MN. A 7468 Yard Par 72 for members this layout will play as a par 71 for Tour players this week, and being a Palmer design, in contract to Jack, it will be much friendlier for players.

Current champ Tony Finau tees it up this week but he has drifted as fav and the resurgence of Cam Young has seen him at the head of the market in a wide open contest.

A decent week last week shall we say, mildly, as Harman at 125/1 won easily and with great class and skill, and Tom Kim tied 2nd. In a season of first with 4 in a row wins, it was nice to get my first 1-2, and the points are creeping up to the 1,000 mark for the season, and has seen Skybet closing my account so I won't be putting their odds up anymore. Name me a better return on free information anywhere and I'll gladly send you my picks on a Monday morning every week for the next year!

Anyway, TPC Twin cities, a drivers course, has been played on tour since 2019 and the last 4 winners all have the big stick prowess in common. In a shortened and late blog this week it's just about driving length and accuracy for me, and we head in 4 handed with a small layout on 4 outsiders this week.

1st up is 2021 winner, CAMERON CHAMP. One of the most explosive drivers of a golf ball in world golf, Cam's ball speed and low ball flight give him one hell of a weapon and this is his track. The wrist injury he sustained 2 years ago has really blighted his career but he has been playing regularly, and his appearance on leaderboards over the weekend have him in the trending category, and his price this week is pure filth. He's 66/1 with Bet365 8 places and I'm really excited about the 4 points each way invested after his 17th place at the Barracuda 2 weeks ago.

The odds just get bigger now as next up we have the talented DAVIS THOMPSON. 2 top 10s earlier in the year, one of which was a 2nd at the Amex, have brought this Korn Ferry graduate into view as a tour player with a bright future. He has a 24th and 31st in his last 2 events and this huge hitting Georgia resident will love the views from the tee and will enjoy the warm humid conditions on offer this week. Given he shot 26 under at the Amex and 19 under at the Shriners, he is raw but suited to lots of birdie opportunities, so a Palmer course will definitely suit. He's 90/1 8 places with Bet365 this week so I'm 2pts each way.

Watching the Barbasol 2 weeks ago, I took 2 things from that event. The first being Vincent Normann hitting every fairway, and the second being the distance TREVOR CONE was hitting it with the driver. I knew nothing about him, but was lucky to see a lot of his game over that weekend, and the 2022 Korn Ferry tour graduate finished an impressive 3rd that week. The 30 year old has long levers and power with accuracy it seems when in form, and now he has the $224,000 in his bank from that event maybe that promise will be built on for this late bloomer. He's 275/1 with Bet365 top 8 and I'm 1pt e/w this week.

Last up I've got to go in again on KEITH MITCHELL. His stats (5th on tour SG off the tee), his profile, his previous (5th here 2 years ago on his last visit) and his ability should see him around 25/1 this week, but his ball striking on approach and his putting have been woeful for 6 months now. It's a big but, and who deosn't like big but(t)s, he is 50/1 this week with Bet365 top 8, 50/1!!!!! I'm investing 3pts e/w, his price is all wrong, and if he finds form this week I'd rather throw my last quid at him than not die trying.

20points Investement all players look best odds Bet365 each way extra, 1/5 odds 8 places.
